Anchors aweigh for Leybourne House residents

4th October 2012

Leybourne House has just embarked on its second boat trip around the beautiful Poole harbour, following the success of their first trip around the site in July.

Good weather graced the outing as the residents boarded the ‘Dolphin’ and set off round the country’s largest natural harbour in high spirits and prepared with handsome provisions of tea and biscuits.

The trip saw residents take in the spectacular views, passing Brownsea Island and the millionaire mansions that overlook the bay. The group even managed to spot Harry Redknapp’s house, but saw no sign of the former Premier League manager.

Joining merrily in with the seafaring way of life the residents watched the large Condor ferry pass. They even witnessed a small racing boat capsize, prompting a big cheer and a gracious bow from skipper as he righted his boat, followed by a great deal laughter all round.

All in all the trip was a great success and a superb day out with lots of laughter, singing and smiles all round.
