Mount Pleasant is a purpose built residential and dementia care home within a few minutes drive of Weymouth beach. Our aim is to enable residents to maximise their quality of life in a comfortable, happy and caring environment.

I first had a taster of working in a nursing home at the age of 16 but then went on to work for the Inland Revenue until 1998 when I became a registered childminder. I came back to care in 2004 where I worked in a couple of residential homes before I found my feet as a Registered Manager for a domiciliary organisation at the end of 2004 and then went on to manage a private residential home in 2008.

I joined Care South in 2009 as a Care Team Manager and quickly progressed to Deputy Manager before taking up my current role as Home Manager. I have my NVQ3 and am currently working towards my level 4. I find working with the elderly very rewarding and feel very at home at Mount Pleasant.
