Celebrations and consultation at Care South Beauchamp House

Care South celebrated the acquisition of Beauchamp House just over a year ago with a day of consultation regarding the plans for the enhancement of the nursing home to meet standards for the future and to provide more comfortable accommodation for residents.

Says Susan Willoughby, Chief Executive of Care South, “it was a day that began with formal presentation to the residents, the Parish Council and local residents and culminated in a Garden Party to share these plans with invited guests

The garden party, at which The High Sheriff of Somerset, John Alvis MBE and his wife Pauline were among the guests, was hosted by Care South Chairman, Felicity Irwin DL who explained;

“It has been an excellent occasion and we are so delighted to be able to share our hopes with so many. Beauchamp House is a home that Care South is very proud to own and we are committed to ensuring that it continues to deliver quality care. We enjoyed meeting so many people and to share the ambience of Beauchamp House and Gardens despite the rain.”

Beauchamp House is a 40 bedded country house care home nestling in the delightful Somerset countryside in which Beauchamp Gardens, a development of 12 country mews cottages and apartments designed for those who have care needs but wish to live independently, is located. Beauchamp House a large beautifully appointed Georgian country house built in 1756 became Somerset’s first private Nursing Home in 1956. The home is decorated and furnished to an excellent standard, which offers the ambience of a good comfortable Country House Hotel providing first class 24 hour nursing care.
