Investors in People (IIP) | The Skills Pledge
Care South is proud that it has held the investors in people award for over 10 years. This award is granted to organisations who, through a rigorous assessment process, meet the standard and demonstrate they are committed to ensuring that learning and development is planned to achieve the company’s objectives. The standard shows that Care South is focused on good practice, continuous development and business improvement through its people.
In 2009, Care South signed the Skills Pledge*, a Government-backed initiative encouraging employers to be accountable for their investment in skills. The Skills Pledge is a simple and straightforward matter for Care South, as it builds on what the company is already committed to: ensuring opportunities are made available for staff to acquire skills and qualifications.
* The pledge was first announced as part of a package of proposals from the Leitch Review of Skills.
