Delivering Quality Care

Although the Care Quality Commission star rating system ended in July 2010, the Care Quality Commission still inspect the quality of care provided by our homes and home care offices. The Care Quality Commission plan that the outcomes of their inspections will eventually be provided on their website available to the public in the form of 'Quality Risk Profiles' and these will be updated regularly.

In this interim period Care South can assure you that our high standards of care have been maintained and that we have rigorous audit procedures in place to ensure that this is always the case.

Investors in People (IIP)

Care South is proud that it has held the investors in people award for nearly 15 years and shows that we recognise the value of our staff and how their performance contributes to our high standard of good practice.

The award is granted to organisations who, through a rigorous assessment process, meet the standard and demonstrate they are committed to ensuring that learning and development is planned to achieve the company's objectives.

The Skills Pledge

In 2009, Care South signed the Skills Pledge*, a Government-backed initiative encouraging employers to be accountable for their investment in skills. The Skills Pledge is a simple and straightforward matter for Care South, as it builds on what the company is already committed to: ensuring opportunities are made available for staff to acquire skills and qualifications.
* The pledge was first announced as part of a package of proposals from the Leitch Review of Skills.
