Our duty as an organisation to the community and to the environment as a whole

Care South was created because Dorset County Council, understanding its responsibilities to the people of Dorset, decided to preserve the county’s much-loved residential care homes.

Under Care South, these homes have gone from strength to strength. Dorset has a growing number of older people, and we aim to make first class services available to meet their needs and enhance their lives in decades to come.

As a charity we work hard to make the best use of the income we generate. Whenever possible, we strive to:

  • Provide value for money in all of our activities
  • Deal responsibly with our service users and suppliers
  • Work with the local community
  • Understand our environmental impact
