Christmas lights on at Buxton House

6th December 2011

Buxton House recently held a festive fayre and seasonal songs and dancing to celebrate the switching on of the Christmas tree lights by the Mayor of Weymouth and Portland, Graham Winter.

Christmas came early to Buxton House in Weymouth with a festive fayre and seasonal songs and dancing to celebrate the switching on of the Christmas tree lights by the Mayor of Weymouth and Portland, Graham Winter.

The home’s assistant cook Maxine Legg and the St Edmund’s Church line dancing group wore Santa hats and Christmas baubles to entertain residents and relatives with a slick routine to the tune of Slade’s Merry Christmas. Staff and friends then gathered round the keyboard to sing a selection of carols, while visitors enjoyed refreshments and shopped for seasonal cakes and produce at the Christmas Fayre.

A great time was had by all!
