I am writing to express my deeply felt thanks to all the staff at Fairlawn for the wonderful care given to my sister particularly in her last, difficult year.

There is no institution in the country in which she would have received more expert attention, and to have this from staff whom she had known for years and counted as friends was a bonus. I particularly thank you for keeping her at Fairlawn, knowing that it stretched your resources when some would have urged a move elsewhere. She was able to die with peace and dignity among friends.

My sister has been such a huge influence on me and all my family that it is difficult to imagine life without her and my regular trips to Fairlawn, where I, too, always felt welcomed.
