At Care South we pride ourselves in delivering quality care for older people in our residential homes and to people of all age groups in their own homes.

We believe that all care should be delivered with skill and understanding, and meet the needs of the individual. To ensure this we have highly trained and caring staff in both our residential homes and available to visit you in your own home.

Care South is a not–for–profit company and registered charity. Care South changed its name in 2005 from The Dorset Trust (established in 1991) to Care South as it is a far more appropriate name which simply describes what we deliver and where. Despite a change of name nothing has changed with regard to the ethos of the company and striving to provide quality care to our residents and clients remains our most important objective.

Chef Alex Every of Care South’s Buxton House, Weymouth, has become Care Chef of the Year 2007, receiving his award from Esther Rantzen CBE at the Care Awards Gala Night at the London Hilton Metropole. Alex was judged on his ability to cook a well-balanced and nutritious three-course meal.	Care South have acquired Beauchamp House Residential Nursing Home at Hatch Beauchamp in Somerset. Mandy Langton, manager of Care South’s Mount Pleasant was presented with the Ted Gully award for the best new manager at the Skills for Care Regional Development conference by David Francis, from the Commission for Social Care Inspection, and was praised for her passion and commitment to residents.
