A date at the pictures for Wickmeads residents
Residents at Wickmeads were treated to a visit to the cinema recently. The residents visited the newly opened state-of-the-art Odeon cinema in Bournemouth to watch the film, ‘Final Portrait’.
The film starring Geoffrey Rush as Swiss painter and sculptor, Alberto Giacometti, is set in 1964 in Paris and charts his offbeat friendship with the American writer and art-lover, James Lord, played by Arnie Hammer as he sits for a portrait.
The residents loved the film and were even more impressed with the cinema, commenting on how the technology has advanced and how comfy the seats are compared to the early days when they first started visiting.
