Queensmead Day at Salisbury Races
Queensmead staff and residents enjoyed a sunny day trip out to Salisbury racecourse recently.
As the racing started, residents began to place their bets on their chosen winners, the residents picked carefully, as they knew there was a tasty bag of sweets to be won. Whilst watching the horses ride into the final furlong, the residents showed off their competitive sides with lots of cheering.
Mid way through the day, residents refuelled in the beautiful racecourse grounds, whilst they enjoyed a homemade picnic, prepared by the Queensmead Chef. In addition to their lovely picnic, no day out at the races would be complete without a glass of fizz to help cheer on the horses.
The day ended with afternoon cream teas in the sunshine, and residents mentioned how much they had enjoyed their day.
Queensmead would like to pay a special thanks to all the staff and volunteers who accompanied the residents on the trip.
