School’s out for summer at St Martins Grange

2nd August 2017

To mark the start of the school summer holidays, residents at St Martins Grange were visited by Topsie Rabbit Kindergarten.

The children from the local nursery have been visiting St Martins Grange throughout the year, forming many friendships with the residents, and having a final visit before the end of term was the perfect way to mark the start of the holidays.

On the day of the visit it was very sunny, so everyone decided on some summery outdoor activities for the morning. From tennis to skittles, the residents and children enjoyed the games and activities, with lots of laughter and smiles had by all.

By the time it got to lunchtime, a well earned break was due and everyone took to the shady trees to enjoy a picnic. The finishing touch was bowls of strawberries with lashings of cream, the perfect way to wrap up the day.

With the end of term it was a fond farewell to many of the children, as they progress up to primary school next year. The residents wish the leavers best of luck and look forward to meeting the new Topsie Rabbit pupils in September.
