Snowman competition at St Martins Grange
Residents at St Martins Grange didn’t miss out on the snow last week, just because it was too cold to go outside – the activities team brought the snow to them, on trays! Being able to touch the snow brought back lots of childhood memories for the residents with some reminiscing about a particularly bad winter in 1962.
The residents had a snowman making competition with Alison Wetherall, the home manager, judging the best snowman. Some of the entries were very creative, complete with hats, scarves and twigs for their arms. The Willow unit won the competition, the judges particularly like the black top hat and pink scarf the snowman was wearing!
