Summer Fayre success at St Martins Grange
Residents and staff at St Martins Grange welcomed friends, family and the local community on Saturday 29th July for their annual Summer Fayre.
In spite of a miserable day of rain thanks to the good old British weather, the Fayre was well attended and raised £280 for the Residents’ Amenity Fund. There was a whole host of stalls and entertainment for everyone to enjoy, including crafts, ‘Guess the name of the dog’, face painting, a tombola, ‘Guess the number of chocolates in the jar’ and a ‘Guess the weight of the cake’ game. A raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses, staff and families was also a big hit.
Jacqui Lloyd, Home Manager at Care South’s St Martins Grange, said: “It was wonderful to see so many friends, families and members of the local community at our Summer Fayre. In spite of the weather being a little unkind to us, everyone had a fantastic afternoon of fun and our residents thoroughly enjoyed welcoming our guests to the home.
“All monies raised will go towards our Residents’ Amenity Fund, which allows us to put on a variety of trips and activities for our residents.”
