Templeman House resident visits AFC Bournemouth
Tony Philips, a resident at Templeman House, and the Home Manager received tickets to the Vitality Stadium last Saturday to watch the match between AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.
Tony has a long history with the Cherries, watching his first game with his Dad at just 7 years old, and laying a pipe from the football grounds to the car park when he was a self-employed labourer. Althought he is a Manchester United supporter, Tony loved watching the game and said it bought back many memories, including climbing under the stadium seats as a young boy to collect all the coins that had fallen out of people’s pockets!
The day was topped off by a meeting and handshake with Jermain Defoe – it was a special moment for Tony. Tony really enjoyed visiting ACF Bournemouth and said it was the best day out he’d had since coming to live at Templeman House in January.
