Virtual reality at Templeman House

11th May 2018

Residents at Templeman House recently experienced deep sea swimming. Residents were transported to tropical waters through the use of virtual reality headsets, as they swam around they were able to look at all the different tropical fish and sharks. After their trip under the sea, residents also visited a wild animal park and outer space.

The residents were fascinated by the headsets which allowed them to enjoy new experiences. One of the residents commented that she truly felt she was underwater and swimming.

Activities like this are a great source of therapy and help remind residents of experiences they may have had in their younger years and improves their social interaction.
