Wedding fever for Wickmeads residents
On the day of the royal wedding over 35 Wickmeads residents, alongside their friends and family gathered in the home’s lounges to watch the ceremony on television. As guests arrived everyone enjoyed strawberries and cream to get into the spirit of the occasion.
Union flags and hats were handed out to everyone as Meghan arrived to make her way down the aisle of St George’s Chapel. The lounges were silent as the wedding took place, many of the residents commented that they were watching history in the making. As the wedding ceremony concluded, guests raised a glass of Buck’s Fizz to wish them well in their new lives together and waved their flags as they watched the royal carriage pull away.
After the wedding everyone sat down for a buffet meal where they chatted about the wedding and all the guests outfits.
