A Devonshire care home, offering total commitment to individual comfort
Fremington Manor in Barnstaple, North Devon will endeavour to make you as comfortable as possible and ensure that you ‘feel at home’ for as long as you choose to stay. We strive to give a total commitment to the provision of individual comfort, ensuring the highest standard of care whilst safeguarding your independence and promoting self respect.
All our residents’ needs are catered for, both medically and personally. We have a weekly hairdresser, a chiropodist who comes to the Manor every six weeks and a visiting library which provides both books and audio books to our residents. We also have a visiting optician and residents are signed up to a local dentist if required. Our occupational therapist provides one-to-one visits to residents who require them, and organises daily activities, including crafts, exercise classes and coffee mornings for social groups.
We have a very comfortable TV lounge in the original panelled oak room, along with a large light lounge which we use as a quiet room. All laundry is collected daily from residents’ rooms, laundered, ironed, and returned to them that afternoon.
All rooms in the original Manor building are exceptionally spacious with ample living area. Residents are made to feel more comfortable by bringing some of their own furniture, pictures and photographs if they so wish. Many rooms enjoy original features and exceptional views over the gardens. On the Benedict wing, we have four luxury bedroom suites. Each is furnished with every anticipated amenity for double occupation if needed, and are ensuite with direct dial private telephones, TV and DVD players.
