At Care South we believe that it is imperative that care services are delivered with skill and understanding, we therefore ensure that our staff receive comprehensive training and have access to continual professional development. Our Training and NVQ Assessment Centre delivers a wide variety of courses in venues throughout the South West of England, and provides comprehensive NVQ services for our care staff and the care staff of other care operators across the region.

Our training courses include:
• A well structured induction to care, in line with the ‘Skills for Care Common Induction Standards’
• Dementia awareness
• Manual handling
• Adult protection
• Food hygiene

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’s) are recognised qualifications for care workers and our NVQ Assessment Centre, approved by the awarding body Edexcel, continues to enjoy success having recently been awarded two A grades by Edexcel’s External Verification Officer. A large number of employees achieve their NVQ qualification with Care South as a result of the excellent support and guidance they receive from our assessment centre personnel.
