A Beautiful Christmas Lights Switch-On at Fairlawn

Fairlawn was transformed into a glowing spectacle of festive joy as residents, families and team members gathered for the home’s much-anticipated Christmas Light Switch-On. The grounds lit up in a magical display, bringing warmth, colour and excitement to everyone who attended.

The highlight of this year’s decorations is Fairlawn’s very own Santa’s sleigh, beautifully illuminated and ready to bring festive cheer to the community. We are delighted to share that the sleigh will be open to visitors every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm to 4pm, offering families and local residents the chance to stop by and take photos in this joyful seasonal setting.

Residents were thrilled as the lights came on, revealing sparkling trees, glowing pathways and twinkling decorations that brought the spirit of Christmas to life.

Shirley shared her delight, saying, “I have never seen it look so beautiful.” Meanwhile, Des added, “It is like an instant ray of sunshine and makes me feel happy.”

Hearing these heartfelt reactions truly captured what the light switch-on is all about: creating moments of joy, comfort and togetherness for our residents.

The evening continued with warm conversation and admiration for the new festive display. As the home sparkled inside and out, it marked the beginning of a season filled with food, fun and friendship at Fairlawn.
