Christmas preparations at Beauchamp House have been filled with creativity, teamwork and a wonderful act of generosity. This year, our festive decorations were made even more special thanks to the kindness of Coates English Willow, who donated a large handcrafted willow wreath for our home.

The idea began when our team reached out to Coates English Willow to see if they might be able to create a feature piece for our Christmas display. We were delighted when they kindly agreed to make and donate a stunning willow wreath for our residents to enjoy. Its natural beauty and traditional craftsmanship made it a perfect centrepiece for our seasonal decorations.

Residents and the Activities Team then spent time together creating bunches of baubles and colourful bows using wire mesh in festive shades. This activity brought lots of conversation, laughter and a lovely sense of working together toward something meaningful. Once all the handmade decorations were ready, everyone helped to place them carefully around the wreath, adding a bright, personal touch to the natural frame.

The finished wreath was proudly hung on the patio wall where it now forms an eye-catching element of our Christmas lights display. Residents have enjoyed seeing their creative contributions on full show, and it has become a talking point during visits from family and friends.

Moments like this capture the spirit of Beauchamp House at Christmas. They remind us how community partnerships, creativity and teamwork can bring joy to residents and brighten our home in the most heartfelt ways.
