A Day Filled with Love at Elizabeth House

Valentine’s Day at Elizabeth House was a truly heart warming occasion, filled with music, laughter and meaningful moments shared together.

A Morning at the Movies

Residents began the day with a musical favourite, settling in to watch Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The room was soon alive with clapping and singing as everyone joined in with the well loved songs.

Margo shared her thoughts afterwards, saying it was “a good and lovely story.” It was wonderful to see residents reminiscing, singing along and enjoying a classic film together. Moments like these remind us how powerful music and film can be in bringing people together.

Spreading the Love with Afternoon Tea

In the afternoon, we continued the celebrations by hosting a special Valentine’s afternoon tea party. The tables were beautifully prepared and there was a real sense of warmth and togetherness as residents, families and team members came together.

We were delighted to raise £380 for Meredith’s Mission, a local charity. Maria and Yvonne both said how lovely it was to meet Meredith and her beautiful family in person. Supporting causes that matter to our community is an important part of life at Elizabeth House, and it was touching to see such generosity on display.

Dancing the Afternoon Away

Chelsea kept spirits high by filling the room with love songs, encouraging everyone onto the dance floor. There was plenty of smiling, gentle dancing and joyful conversation throughout the afternoon.

Peter and Bob especially enjoyed meeting Violet the therapy dog, who was a very popular guest. Her calm presence brought comfort and plenty of affection to residents.

Food, Fun and Friendship

Valentine’s Day at Elizabeth House was a wonderful reflection of the Food, Fun and Friendship that sit at the heart of daily life across Care South. Creating opportunities for connection, celebration and community is what makes each day special.
