At Buxton House, residents and staff came together for a joyful and meaningful day as they raised money for Comic Relief. The home was filled with colour, laughter and a wonderful sense of community, as everyone embraced the spirit of giving while having plenty of fun along the way.

Crazy Hair and Sweet Treats

The celebrations began with a burst of creativity, as both residents and team members took part in a lively “Crazy Hair” theme. Bright colours, playful styles and plenty of imagination brought smiles to everyone’s faces, setting a cheerful tone for the day ahead.

Alongside this, a delicious cake sale offered a tempting selection of sweet treats. Residents enjoyed choosing their favourites, sharing conversations over tea and cake, and supporting a cause that brings help and hope to so many people.

Games, Laughter and Friendly Challenges

As the day continued, the fun carried on with a series of engaging games, all inspired by the red theme of Comic Relief. Residents took part in a lively round of pass the parcel, followed by a red-themed memory game that encouraged everyone to think, recall and engage.

Pat shared how much she enjoyed the challenge, saying the memory game really made her think while still being great fun. Moments like these highlight how activities can be both stimulating and enjoyable, bringing out the best in everyone.

The afternoon continued with a red nose trivia game, sparking friendly competition and plenty of laughter as residents tested their knowledge and cheered each other on.
