Residents and staff from Fairlawn enjoyed a lively and laughter-filled trip to the Barrington Centre to see the classic pantomime Dick Whittington. The afternoon was packed with energy, humour and plenty of audience participation, with shouts of “He’s behind you!” and “Oh no he didn’t!” echoing around the theatre.

The pantomime was a hit from start to finish, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone in the audience. The colourful costumes, cheerful songs and playful jokes created a wonderful atmosphere that had both residents and staff joining in the fun.

After the performance, residents had the chance to meet the cast members, which made the day even more special. The actors were delighted to stop for a chat and share a few laughs, with promises made to visit Fairlawn in the festive season for a special performance at the home.

Resident Yvonne said, “I have had a really good fun day out.” Her words summed up the feeling shared by everyone who attended – it was a truly joyful and memorable outing.

Trips like these are a fantastic way for residents to experience something different, enjoy live entertainment and make lasting memories together. They also reflect the values at the heart of Care South – bringing food, fun and friendship into every aspect of daily life.

The team at Fairlawn would like to thank everyone at the Barrington Centre for their warm welcome and the talented cast of Dick Whittington for such a wonderful afternoon. The residents are already looking forward to seeing the performers again when they visit during the Christmas season.
