A Joyful Easter Celebration at Elizabeth House

At Elizabeth House, Easter was a truly special occasion, bringing together residents, families and team members for a day filled with warmth, laughter and togetherness.

A celebration of food, fun and friendship

As part of our commitment to supporting good nutrition and hydration, our Easter celebrations were centred around a wonderful selection of delicious and colourful treats. The Easter Bunny made a special appearance alongside Chef Andre and our fantastic care team, including Strawberry Lavinda and Banana Linda, adding a real sense of fun to the day.

Residents enjoyed a fresh fruit buffet, homemade hot cross buns, vibrant jelly, refreshing smoothies and, of course, a little Easter chocolate to complete the celebrations. Food plays such an important role in creating moments of comfort and joy, and this was a perfect example of how shared experiences around the table can bring people together.

Residents at the heart of the day

It was lovely to see residents getting involved and helping to make the day so special. Dot was delighted to assist with setting up the tables, while Peter C stepped in to help serve the fruit, something he clearly took great pride in, and which everyone appreciated.

These moments of involvement help to create a real sense of purpose and community, ensuring that everyone feels included and valued.

Smiles, dancing and shared memories

As the day continued, there was plenty of laughter, music and even dancing, with residents enjoying time together in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Looking back through the photos afterwards, Yvonne and Jean summed it up beautifully, commenting on how happy everyone looked and how much fun had been shared on the dance floor.

Moments like these are so important, especially for those living with dementia, as they support emotional wellbeing, connection and a sense of belonging. At Care South, we are proud to create meaningful experiences that help residents continue to live well, with dignity and joy.
