On 29 January, residents at Elizabeth House enjoyed a truly magical afternoon filled with colour, music and laughter during a special trip out to BH1 Elim Church. The visit was organised by the Elizabeth House activities team, who were joined by Amanda, our Home Administrator, to support residents Maria, Peter C and Yvonne on this exciting outing.

Stepping into Wonderland

The group were delighted to watch an interactive pantomime performance of Alice in Wonderland by the Tree House Theatre Company. From the moment the show began, it was clear this would be no ordinary performance. The cast warmly encouraged everyone to take part, inviting the audience to become part of Wonderland itself.

Residents were given the chance to join in as hedgehogs, flamingos and even members of a deck of cards, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere that kept everyone smiling throughout.

Residents Take Centre Stage

Yvonne particularly enjoyed her moment in the spotlight, proudly taking on the role of the most beautiful rose bush. She shared how much she loved being involved and feeling part of the story. Maria was captivated by the colourful and imaginative costumes, while Peter C thoroughly enjoyed singing along and dancing, fully embracing the joyful spirit of the performance.

These moments of participation and shared laughter made the experience especially meaningful, allowing residents to express themselves and enjoy something a little different.

Creating Joyful Memories Together

Outings like this are a wonderful way for residents to enjoy new experiences, connect with one another and create lasting memories beyond the home. The afternoon was filled with fun, creativity and plenty of smiles as everyone returned to Elizabeth House chatting about their favourite moments.
