A Sunny and Educational Day Out at Poole Museum

Recently, residents from Dorset House enjoyed a wonderful minibus trip to Poole Museum, where a day of discovery, learning and fresh air awaited them.

On arrival, everyone explored the museum’s fascinating exhibitions, learning about Poole’s rich maritime heritage and the important role the town has played through the years. Residents also enjoyed displays about local wildlife and listened to inspiring community stories that brought the history of Poole to life in a meaningful and engaging way.

The sunshine added to the enjoyment of the day, and residents took time to relax outdoors with hot drinks and cake before continuing to explore the museum. One of the highlights was trying on the RNLI hats, which brought plenty of smiles and laughter and added a fun, interactive element to the visit.

The trip continued with a peaceful picnic lunch in the beautiful surroundings of Scaplen’s Court, offering the perfect opportunity to unwind and chat about everything that had been seen and learned throughout the day. Before heading home, residents enjoyed a browse around the gift shop, rounding off a thoroughly enjoyable outing.

It was a lovely educational day out that combined history, community and companionship, creating happy memories for everyone involved.
