Residents from Maiden Castle House recently enjoyed a wonderful day out to the Weymouth SEA LIFE Centre, taking full advantage of the glorious sunshine and fresh sea air. It was a perfect opportunity to explore the natural world, enjoy a change of scenery, and make new memories together.

A World Beneath the Waves

As the group strolled through the centre, there was a sense of fascination and curiosity as residents admired the diverse marine life on display. The playful seals, adorable penguins, and lively otters were definite favourites, sparking conversation and lots of smiles.

Each exhibit offered a new surprise and sparked moments of nostalgia as residents shared seaside stories and memories from childhood holidays spent at the coast.

Sweet Treats and Shared Moments

After exploring the aquarium, everyone took time to relax and recharge with a well-earned Costa coffee and an ice cream in the sunshine — the perfect treat for such a warm and cheerful day.

The atmosphere was full of laughter and light conversation, with many residents remarking on how much they enjoyed both the outing and the company.

A Day to Remember

The trip was a true example of the Food, Fun and Friendship that lies at the heart of life at Maiden Castle House. Spending quality time outdoors, engaging with nature, and enjoying new experiences together is all part of the meaningful lifestyle we promote for every resident.

We’re already planning our next adventure — and looking forward to many more days like this.
