A Sweet Celebration at Alexandra House for National Chocolate Day
What a delightful day it was at Alexandra House as we celebrated National Chocolate Day! Our residents indulged in a day dedicated to one of life’s greatest pleasures, filled with fun, learning and plenty of laughter.
We began by exploring the fascinating history of chocolate, discovering its ancient roots with the Aztecs and Mayans. It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged, sharing stories and learning a few surprising facts along the way.

The fun continued with a lively Chocolate Quiz that had everyone smiling. From classic TV slogans to cheeky chocolate-themed questions, the room was full of laughter and friendly competition. There was plenty of reminiscing too, as residents shared fond memories of their favourite chocolate bars from years gone by.
Of course, no celebration of chocolate would be complete without a sweet treat to finish, and our chocolate fountain did not disappoint. With strawberries, bananas and marshmallows ready for dipping, it was a deliciously joyful end to the day.
A huge thank you to our wonderful Chef and kitchen team for making the day so special. It was truly a choc-full celebration of fun, friendship and sweetness at Alexandra House!
