A Wonderful Morning at the Reopened Poole Museum

On 7th November, three residents from Marjorie House enjoyed a fascinating morning out on a minibus trip to the newly reopened Poole Museum. The visit offered the perfect opportunity to explore local history, enjoy new surroundings and spend quality time together.

Residents took their time exploring the museum’s beautifully refreshed exhibits, learning all about Poole’s rich maritime heritage, local wildlife and community stories. There was plenty to see and talk about, sparking memories and conversation throughout the morning.

A lovely surprise awaited when the group met visitors from Elizabeth House, who were also touring the museum that day. Everyone enjoyed catching up and sharing their favourite exhibits, making the outing even more special.

Before heading home, residents and staff stopped at the museum café for a relaxing hot drink and a chat, reflecting on all they had seen and learned.

It was a truly enjoyable outing filled with curiosity, conversation and companionship. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful morning from start to finish, and a lovely example of Food, Fun and Friendship in action.
