Care Awareness Week at St Ives House

Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd June

St Ives House is openings its doors and inviting friends, family and the wider community to visit the home as part of its ‘Care Awareness Week’. Home Manager, Neil Dominy is welcoming drop-in visits throughout the week from anyone who would like to tour the home or talk about any care concerns or questions they may have now or in the future.


National Care Home Open Day

Join Care South this summer for National Care Home Open Day 2019.Our care homes will be opening its doors to celebrate the role of arts in care. Sussexdown Summer Fayre

Saturday 6th July – 2:00pm – 4:30pm

This summer, Sussexdown welcomes you to the home for its annual Summer Fayre. Held in the home’s extensive gardens, this event is one not to be missed. With musical performances from Eight Beat Jive dance group and music from local saxophonist, Alison, it’s looking to be a great afternoon of singing and dancing in the sunshine. On the day, guests will be able to enjoy various craft stalls, and be able to pick up local produce form the stands, as well as a selection of gifts. There will be many refreshments available on the day. This event has been organised by Friends of Sussexdown and is free to attend with all monies raised going towards the Residents’ Amenity Fund.


Wickmeads Summer Fayre

Saturday 6th July 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Wickmeads will be hosting its summer fayre on Saturday 6th July and is inviting the local community to join the staff and residents to get involved.

The American themed fayre will have guess the weight of the cake, bric-a-brac, lucky dip and giant jenga.

There will be lots of food and drink available on the day for those who need to re-fuel after joining in with all of the games!


Fremington Manor’s Vintage Tea Party

Saturday 6th July, 12pm – 4pm

Fremington Manor is hosting a vintage tea party at St Peter’s Hall from 12 – 4pm on Saturday 6th July. Join the home for a delicious afternoon tea with homemade cakes and scones, light afternoon sandwiches and tea with stalls and entertainment for all to enjoy.


Beauchamp House Summer Fayre

Saturday 6th July, 2.30pm – 5pm

Beauchamp House is inviting the local community, friends and family to its Summer Fayre. Join the home on Saturday 6th July from 2.30pm for a fantastic afternoon with live music from Rod Thomas, Punch and Judy, face painting, animal petting and games for the little visitors, as well as a raffle, plenty of stalls, tombola, cakes and refreshments.

All monies raised on the day will go toward the residents’ amenities fund.


Talbot View’s Summer Fayre

Saturday 13th July from 2pm

Talbot View is inviting the local community, friends and family to its fun-filled Summer Fayre. Join the home on Saturday 13th July from 2pm for a fantastic afternoon with a raffle, tombola, bouncy castle, cakes and refreshments, bric a brac stalls, and a yummy BBQ. Guests will also enjoy a special performance from Talbot View’s very own choir.

All monies raised on the day will go toward the residents’ amenities fund.


St Martins Grange Summer Fete

Saturday 20th July, 2pm – 4pm

St Martins Grange is inviting the local community, friends and family to its fun-filled Summer Fete. Join the home on Saturday 20th July from 2 - 4pm for a fantastic afternoon with a raffle, tombola, cakes and refreshments.

Buxton House’s Summer Fayre

Saturday 27th July, 2.30pm – 5pm

Buxton House is inviting the local community, friends and family to its fun-filled Summer Fayre. Join the home on Saturday 27th July from 2.30pm for a fantastic afternoon with a raffle, tombola, cakes and refreshments, craft stalls, and a BBQ.

All monies raised on the day will go toward the residents’ amenities fund.


Elizabeth House’s Tea Dance

Saturday 10th August, 2pm – 4pm

Join Elizabeth House for a tea dance at the home from 2pm and enjoy singing from duo, The Aphrodite Singers, a summer tombola, grand raffle and afternoon tea with homemade cakes.


Alexandra House’s Summer Fayre

Saturday 10th August, 1pm – 4pm

Alexandra House is inviting the local community, family and friends to its Summer Fayre on Saturday 10th August from 1pm – 4pm. Join the home for a great afternoon with music from Disco Mike, plenty of games, a bouncy castle for little visitors, bric a brac and arts and crafts, as well as a tombola and raffle. There will also be plenty of refreshments including homemade cakes and a BBQ courtesy of the home’s chef.

Entry is free to all and all monies raised on the day will go towards the residents’ amenities fund.


Sussexdown Christmas Fayre

Saturday 7th December – 1:30pm – 3:30pm

Visitors to Sussexdown's Christmas Fayre will be able to browse a range of stalls, providing plenty of inspiration for Christmas presents for all the family.On the day, there will be a grand raffle and plenty of Christmas cheer for everyone to enjoy! Refreshments will include afternoon tea and mince pies. This event has been organised by Friends of Sussexdown and is free to attend with all proceeds going towards the Residents’ Amenity Fund.
