Beauchamp House Celebrates Chef Clare Sayers’ Incredible 40 Years of Service
There were smiles, applause and even a touch of Elvis magic at Beauchamp House, as the team came together to celebrate an extraordinary milestone. Chef Clare Sayers marked an incredible 40 years of dedicated service at the home.
The surprise celebration was attended by Care South CEO Simon Bird, Catering Operations Manager Mark Wardman and Regional Operations Manager Lucy Yao, who joined Home Manager Debbie Lane and the Beauchamp House team in recognising Clare’s remarkable commitment to residents and colleagues over four decades.
Knowing Clare is a lifelong Elvis Presley fan, the team planned a celebration with a personal twist. As she walked into the room, Housekeeper Brian delighted everyone by performing as an Elvis impersonator, creating a memorable surprise that immediately brought smiles and laughter to the occasion.
The celebrations continued with heartfelt speeches from Simon Bird and Debbie, who both thanked Clare for her dedication, loyalty and the positive impact she has made on generations of residents and colleagues throughout her career.
To mark the special occasion, Clare was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a cheque in recognition of her long service, and a specially created Elvis-themed card, signed with messages of appreciation from residents and members of the team.
The thoughtful surprise left Clare both delighted and deeply moved.
Over the past 40 years, Clare has prepared thousands of meals, celebrated countless birthdays, seasonal occasions and special events, and played an important role in creating the warm, welcoming atmosphere that residents and families enjoy at Beauchamp House today.
Her passion for cooking and dedication to ensuring residents enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals have made her a much-loved member of the Beauchamp House family, with many residents and colleagues recognising the care and kindness she brings to her role every day.
