A Day of History and Craft

Residents from Beauchamp House recently enjoyed a wonderful outing to Coate’s Willow, where they were treated to an engaging presentation on the Antiqua Ships. The visit offered a fascinating insight into the history, craftsmanship, and dedication that goes into making and restoring these remarkable model ships.

The presentation sparked plenty of interest and conversation, with residents commenting on the incredible detail and skill involved in the work.

Tea, Cake and a Dinosaur!

Following the talk, the group enjoyed a well-deserved stop at the Lemon Tree for tea and cake, rounding off the afternoon with delicious refreshments and good company. Laughter and chatter filled the air as residents reflected on what they had learned and shared their thoughts on the day.

Before heading home, there was time for a photo opportunity in front of a unique dinosaur made entirely from willow – a quirky and fun way to end the trip!
