Blossoms and Bunting: Talbot View Prepares for Summer Fayre Craft Sale
At Talbot View, the spirit of summer is in full bloom as residents spend the weekend preparing beautiful flower arrangements for our upcoming Summer Fayre Craft Sale.
The lounges have been filled with colour, creativity and the gentle scent of fresh flowers as residents proudly work on their displays — each arrangement a reflection of their personal touch and teamwork.
Crafting Confidence and Connection
Flower arranging is more than a relaxing hobby — it’s a therapeutic activity that supports sensory stimulation, encourages focus and coordination, and offers a wonderful confidence boost. Residents enjoy the feel of the petals and stems, and the joy of creating something visually beautiful with their own hands.
There’s been a lovely atmosphere as everyone chats, shares tips, and admires one another’s work. Some residents have taken the lead in combining colours, while others have added thoughtful finishing touches.
A Weekend of Creativity
This weekend is all about preparing for our Summer Fayre, where these beautiful arrangements will join a variety of other resident-made crafts — from handmade jewellery to lavender sachets and decorative items — in a celebration of talent, teamwork and creativity.
“I’m really proud of mine,” one resident said. “It’s lovely to be part of something we’re all doing together.”
With more crafting and arranging still to come over the weekend, we’re looking forward to a colourful, joyful display when we open our doors for the Fayre.
