Bulb Lasagne Planting at Fern Brook Lodge
Residents at Fern Brook Lodge enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with the Gardening Club, getting their hands dirty and having plenty of fun while taking part in a creative bulb lasagne planting session.
Layer by layer, residents carefully arranged a variety of spring-flowering bulbs in deep pots, creating their own “lasagne” of colour that will bloom beautifully in stages as the seasons change. The activity was full of chatter, teamwork and laughter as everyone learned how the different layers will flower at different times to create a continuous display of colour.
From tulips and daffodils to crocuses and hyacinths, each bulb was planted with care and anticipation for the months ahead. It was a lovely way to spend time together, enjoy the outdoors and look forward to brighter days to come.
The Gardening Club continues to be one of our residents’ favourite activities, offering a sense of connection, calm and accomplishment. We cannot wait to see the garden come to life with vibrant colours in spring.
