Buxton House Celebrates VE Day with Music, Memories and Togetherness
Residents, families, and friends at Buxton House came together to mark VE Day with an afternoon of celebration, remembrance, and community spirit.
The event featured a wonderful performance from the Timeless Tunes Choir, who sang a much-loved selection of wartime classics. Their heartfelt renditions brought smiles, memories, and the occasional singalong from guests as they recalled the music of a defining era.
As the choir performed, residents and visitors enjoyed ice lollies and ice cream, making the most of the lovely atmosphere. The afternoon continued with a delicious afternoon tea buffet, adding a traditional touch to the day’s celebrations.
It was a truly uplifting event, filled with fun, food, and friendship, as everyone came together to honour the significance of VE Day in a way that was both joyful and meaningful.
