Dementia care

Make an enquiry

It is estimated that there are around 850,000 people with dementia in the UK. That number is expected to rise to 1.6 million over the next 20 years. That is why providing compassionate and person-centred dementia care is so important to us.

Our care homes have been designed to promote engagement and independence, with features such as memory boxes and stimulating imagery to help residents to find their way around. We promote residents wandering with a purpose through feature walls and the location of communal areas.

Reminiscence therapy

Dementia can affect a person’s sense of identity, so we actively encourage reminiscing about positive memories through a range of person-centred activities. We work with specialist groups who support group activities and stimulate conversations. We are also partnered with The Daily Sparkle, a newspaper and app, which helps staff get to know and understand the people they care for. Click here to find out more.
