Care South Fairlawn Stars Awards: A Day of Fun, Food and Friendship
At Fairlawn, the team took a joyful approach to the Care South Stars Awards, coming together for a day filled with laughter, games, and heartfelt recognition.
The garden was buzzing with activity as staff joined in a lively scavenger hunt, working in teams to track down the HEART values hidden throughout the grounds. There was plenty of laughter as colleagues took turns being blindfolded to try and pin a heart on a life-sized photo of Home Manager Tina — a light-hearted moment that had everyone smiling.
The fun continued with a staff raffle where every member of the team walked away with a prize. It was just one of many ways the team’s hard work and dedication were recognised throughout the afternoon.
Food played a big part in the celebration, with an incredible BBQ cooked up by the kitchen team — who had been nominated themselves for their fantastic efforts. Everyone also enjoyed a sweet surprise with a table full of classic penny sweets, inviting staff to fill up a bag (or two) with their favourites.
The event was as much about friendship as it was recognition. Staff gathered around the “Fairlawn Stars of 2025” Wall, where each person had their own golden star celebrating their unique contributions. It was a touching reminder of the strength and unity within the team.
Before the day ended, each staff member received a goody bag filled with thoughtful treats including mugs, bubbles, keyrings and more — a small gesture to say a big thank you.
It was a brilliant day that perfectly captured the spirit of Fairlawn: fun, food and true friendship. A well-deserved celebration of the stars who make the home shine every day.
