Care South’s Community Fund donates £500 to Dorset HealthCare Charitable Fund

Residential and care at home provider and registered charity, Care South, has donated £500 to Dorset HealthCare Charitable Fund.

The healthcare provider is the latest beneficiary of Care South’s Community Fund, which gives back to community groups, services and organisations which directly benefit Care South’s care home residents, care at home clients or staff.

Dorset HealthCare is responsible for all NHS mental health services and many physical health services in Dorset, delivering both hospital and community-based care. The donation will go towards expanding therapeutic activities such as art workshops, gardening groups, social outings and wellbeing sessions for patients treated by Dorset HealthCare. It will also go towards initiatives for staff to boost their wellbeing which could include mindfulness workshops and activities.

Care South’s Community Fund donation was presented to Becky Whyte, Hospital Manager at Dorset HealthCare by Simon Bird, CEO of Care South.

Becky said: “We are incredibly grateful to Care South for this generous donation. The funds will make a real difference, allowing us to expand our therapeutic activities and provide more opportunities for our patients to engage in creative and social experiences that support their wellbeing.”
