The residents at Castle Dene had a lovely afternoon celebrating Armistice Day with a wartime sing-along featuring entertainer Tony Edwards. The old favourites were sung, including “Kiss Me Goodnight, Sergeant Major,” “Lambeth Walk,” and ending with “Land of Hope & Glory” and “We’ll Meet Again.”

Everyone raised a glass to toast those lost as a result of war. After which they enjoyed cakes iced in red, white, and blue, which were made by some of the residents the day before as part of the activity programme.
