Kirstel, Deputy Home Manager at Castle Dene, was delighted to present flowers and a bottle of bubbly to Lesley to celebrate 10 years as Activities Lead. This is such an important role in all our care homes as it determines the quality of life experienced by the residents. The Activities Lead is conscious of the mental and physical wellbeing of all the residents and works to keep them mentally engaged, physically active and socially stimulated. They arrange a full programme of activities within the homes and trips out to a wide variety of destinations and places of interest. They also organise and run events open to the local community, including summer fetes and Christmas celebrations. They keep the home vibrant and active, bringing colour to the care that residents enjoy from the whole care team.

 

Castle Dene is a Care South home for residential and dementia care in Bournemouth, Dorset. We are warmly welcoming new residents and inviting families and friends to share in the Food, Fun and Friendship on offer at this lovely Bournemouth care home.
