Castle Dene residents visit the Tank Museum
Four intrepid explorers from Castle Dene care home were taken for a day to the Bovington Tank Museum. Everyone really enjoyed seeing all the tanks and recalling how and why some changes were made to them over time. They were absorbed by reading all the information boards placed around the displays. Many items caused conversations but of particular interest were the delivery bike, the laundry mangle, and the cinema. The Anderson air raid shelter also got everyone reminiscing about their experiences. A picnic lunch was enjoyed by all, and everyone agreed they had a lovely time and could not wait to make a return visit.
