At Alexandra House, we celebrated Father’s Day in true Care South style – with thoughtful gifts, delicious food, and plenty of smiles shared throughout the day.

Each of our wonderful gentlemen received a personalised pint glass – with plastic versions thoughtfully provided for our residents living with dementia – along with a bar of chocolate and a refreshing drink of their choice to enjoy with lunch. The drinks menu included a classic Guinness, a refreshing Cider, Doombar Amber Ale, and a non-alcoholic selection to suit everyone’s taste.

There were many happy faces as residents raised a toast and tucked into their sweet treats – and it’s safe to say the chocolate didn’t last long!

Sweet Treats and Smiles

Later in the afternoon, everyone gathered once more for refreshments at 3pm, where our talented chef Nathan treated residents to a tray of beautifully made cupcakes, lovingly prepared and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The atmosphere was relaxed, cheerful and filled with warm conversation – a lovely opportunity for residents to reflect, share stories, and feel appreciated on this special day.

Celebrating the Fathers of Alexandra House

Father’s Day is a chance to say thank you to the men who have shared their wisdom, laughter and kindness over the years. It was a real pleasure to make the day feel special for our residents – a small gesture that meant a great deal to many.
