Community, Cream Tea and Song: A Joyful Open Day at Castle Dene
Castle Dene Care Home was alive with warmth and laughter as we welcomed residents, families, and members of the local community for a wonderful Open Day – a celebration of togetherness, music, and the special atmosphere that makes Castle Dene feel like home.
The day was made even more memorable by a live performance from the incredibly talented Kelly Lorraine, whose beautiful singing brought smiles, foot-tapping, and even a few sing-alongs. Her lively set created a joyful backdrop to the afternoon, bringing everyone together in a shared moment of celebration.
Cream Tea and Companionship
As the music settled, guests were treated to a classic cream tea, with freshly baked scones, jam, clotted cream and a good cup of tea – all enjoyed in great company. The conversation flowed as families and residents mingled with staff and visitors, sharing stories and making new connections.
It was a lovely reminder of how important it is to bring people together and to open our doors to the wider community, showcasing the Food, Fun and Friendship that are at the heart of life at Castle Dene.
