Dancing Queens at Elizabeth House – A Joyful Abba Afternoon
On Wednesday 4 June, residents and staff at Elizabeth House came together for a joyful afternoon of music, dancing and recognition, celebrating the Care South Stars Awards with an Abba-themed twist.
The home was beautifully decorated for the occasion, with golden touches, lively music and plenty of sparkle. A special thank you goes to Peter and Dot, who helped bring the space to life with their creativity and care. Staff embraced the spirit of the theme, dressing up in fabulous Abba-inspired outfits – and they certainly turned heads. Kath, Yvonne and Maria all remarked on how beautiful everyone looked.
The Care South Stars Awards celebrate the dedication, compassion and excellence of our team members who go above and beyond every day. Residents and staff clapped and cheered as this year’s nominees were announced, honouring those who truly live out the Care South HEART values – from honesty and respect to teamwork and excellence.
It was a proud and heartfelt moment for the entire Elizabeth House community – a chance to say thank you to those who make our home such a caring and joyful place to be.
The celebration was made even more special with a delicious buffet prepared by our talented Head Chef Louria, which was enjoyed by all. The dance floor quickly filled with laughter and energy, led by the unstoppable Ruby, Yvonne and Brenda, whose infectious enthusiasm kept everyone moving to the music.
We were delighted to be joined by Gill from Head Office and Valentina, Deputy Manager, along with staff from across Elizabeth House, who came together to support and celebrate our amazing team.
It was a wonderful afternoon of friendship, fun and heartfelt appreciation, capturing the vibrant community spirit that makes Elizabeth House such a special place to live and work.
