Dorset House Coronation Party A Day to Remember
It was truly a day to remember at Dorset House, for the historical moment of the Coronation of King Charles III and of course lots of food, fun and laughter.
The home was fully decorated with bunting, flags and balloons and a decorative timeline of the history of the Monarchy. All residents received special badges to commemorate the day.
Bringing the party spirit, Kelly Lorraine-Rosewarn kicked on the day getting everyone singing and dancing. After the musical performance residents and staff came together to watch the King and Queen receive their crowns, followed by a fantastic Afternoon tea buffet.
Prior to the weekend, the residents helped to bake some of the delicious goodies that were enjoyed at the party, including sausage rolls, mini cheese quiches and a marble sponge cake topped with whipped cream and berries. Special drinks were also enjoyed alongside the food. It really was a royal banquet. Residents also utilised their wonderful flower arranging skills and created the table decorations for the party.
Dorothy said ‘it was a lovely day, she is a royalist and it is a real honor to be able to say that she watched the Queen get crowned and now she is doing it again with her son King Charles III’
Phylis said ‘She loved the music and all the dancing wore her out!’
