Dorset House residents prepare for the RSPB Big Bird Watch

To commemorate the 2023 RSPB Big Bird Watch at the end of January it was fitting for Dorset House residents to gather together and make bird feeders for the home’s garden.

Everyone mixed bird seed and lard together, before moulding them into cups with string down the middle to create tasty treats for their bird and squirrel friends.

Once the feeders were finished resident, David had the honours of hanging them up in the garden and choosing the most desirable location for each feeder. The feeders were perfectly positioned by windows so that anyone who fancied a little bit of bird watching was fortunate to catch a glimpse of bird life.
