Fairlawn visit Tank Museum to commemorate D-Day
The gentlemen of Fairlawn made a historical visit to the Bovington Tank Museum on the anniversary of D Day.
All the residents had their own stories and memories of the war, one resident was an engineer in the air force while another was in the National Service in Germany after the war. One resident also spoke about how he was in Mill Hill Hospital during the war in which he saw many poisoned prisoners, he was only 14 years old at the time and helped to teach English to the patients.
They all enjoyed the trip on such a special day!
