The gentlemen of Fern Brook Lodge enjoyed a memorable day out to Haynes Motor Museum, where classic cars, shared memories and plenty of laughter created a truly special experience.

From the moment they stepped through the doors, the museum’s impressive collection of vintage and classic vehicles sparked conversation among residents, with stories quickly flowing about first cars, dream motors and much-loved favourites from years gone by. Each exhibit seemed to unlock another cherished memory, with residents reminiscing about family road trips, learning to drive and the excitement of owning their very first car.

As the group explored the museum together, there was a real sense of enjoyment and connection as residents shared personal stories and compared memories inspired by the beautifully restored vehicles on display. From iconic British classics to rare sports cars, every corner of the museum offered something new to discover and admire.

The outing also provided a wonderful opportunity for residents to spend quality time together outside the home, enjoying meaningful conversation and the companionship that comes from shared interests and experiences.

After exploring the exhibits, the gentlemen enjoyed a well-earned break at Café 750, where the conversations continued over cups of tea and slices of cake. The relaxed café setting gave everyone the chance to reflect on the highlights of the visit, with plenty more reminiscing and laughter shared around the table.

Trips like these play an important role in life at Fern Brook Lodge, helping residents stay connected to hobbies, memories and experiences that are meaningful to them, while also supporting wellbeing, friendship and social connection.

The Fern Brook Lodge team were delighted to see how much enjoyment the residents took from the day, with many already talking about where the next adventure might take them.
