Residents at Buxton House recently got into the festive spirit with a wonderful gingerbread-making session, joined by our chef Jason. The activity brought Christmas to life through familiar smells, cheerful music and lively conversation, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere throughout the home.

A festive activity full of warmth

As residents gathered together to create their gingerbread creations, the comforting aroma of gingerbread filled the room. For many, the familiar scent instantly captured special memories of Christmases from years gone by, sparking conversations and reflections on festive traditions and family moments.

With Christmas music playing in the background, the session felt relaxed and joyful, encouraging residents to chat, laugh and enjoy each other’s company while getting creative.

Baking together and sharing smiles

Chef Jason was on hand to guide and support residents, making sure everyone could take part and enjoy the experience. Decorating gingerbread proved to be just as fun as baking it, with each creation reflecting individual personalities and plenty of smiles along the way.

The activity was about much more than baking. It was a chance to come together, enjoy shared moments and celebrate the season in a way that felt meaningful and inclusive.
