There was plenty of laughter echoing through St Ives House as residents and team members came together to celebrate Shrove Tuesday in true traditional style.

A Friendly Pancake Flipping Competition

The highlight of the afternoon was a lively pancake flipping competition. Residents eagerly took their turn, concentrating carefully as they attempted to flip their pancakes without dropping them.

The room was filled with smiles, cheering and good natured encouragement as everyone got involved. It was a wonderful example of residents and staff enjoying time together, sharing moments of light hearted fun.

A huge congratulations goes to resident Mike, who impressed everyone with an incredible 11 flips in a row, earning himself the title of champion pancake flipper. His achievement was met with applause and plenty of celebration.

Choosing the Perfect Topping

The fun did not stop there. Residents are now looking forward to enjoying pancakes for supper, complete with a variety of delicious toppings to choose from. To make things even more exciting, a poll was held to determine the most popular choice.

The clear winner was the classic combination of lemon and sugar, proving that sometimes the traditional favourites are the best.
